Auditions

The Tap and Musical Revue classes are open on a first come first serve basis. Our Production Program is open by audition or invitation only. A limited number of early invitations will be sent out at the start of each program. If you have received an invitation from our director, Krista Carreiro, you may immediately register for the program. If you have not received an invitation to register early, please sign up for an audition appointment to be considered for one of the remaining spots in the program.

Production Program Auditions

Please email Krista@popco.com to sign up for an audition appointment with our director. The audition fee is $20 (check or cash please) due the day of the audition and is non-refundable.

Students should expect to learn a short song and some choreography on the spot. Students who wish to be considered as a vocal soloist are asked to prepare a song. They may bring recorded accompaniment on CD or an iPod, they may also choose to sing unaccompanied. Students who would like to be considered for a character role should prepare a short monologue. This can be from a book, or a play, or it can be as simple as reciting a poem or telling a story. It is essentially a chance to impress the audition panel with your ability to memorize material and be expressive. Students may also provide a brief resume of any roles or classes from the last two or three years.

Payment Policies

There is an annual, non-refundable, $20.00 registration fee due when you register for your first class.  Payments may be made via PayPal or you can mail a check with your registration form. There is a slight savings for those who are able to pay tuition in full at the time of registration; otherwise the first monthly installment is due along with the registration fee when you register.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your class or camp registration any time after it has been processed, up to and including the first day of class/camp, your full tuition will be refunded less a $20 registration fee. For cancellations after the second class/camp meeting, refunds will be calculated based on the remaining number of classes. Audition fees are non-refundable.

Scholarships

Students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch at school may apply to be considered for a reduction in tuition. Please provide a copy of the school lunch approval letter with the application.

Attendance and Behavioral Expectations

Students are expected to attend class whenever possible and complete all homework assignments for the production program in a timely fashion. Students who fail to meet these expectations will be warned of the consequences and if ongoing problems occur they may be asked to terminate their participation in the class or program.
