Classes are held at the studio space in the Queen Anne Baptist Church, on the corner of 1st Avenue North and Crockett.

The school year program runs in two semesters (Oct.–January & Feb.–May) with closures following the Seattle Public Schools calendar. Please note there are a few Fridays that are closed due to professional development.

Beginning & Intermediate Tap

Friday, 4:00 pm-5:00 pm
Tuition: $250 per semester

Open to students 4th grade and above. Beginning students will learn basic patterns and then combine them in their own choreography. Intermediate students will focus on faster, more intricate footwork, developing speed, clarity, and dynamics in their performance. The second semester will culminate in a performance as part of the Children’s Dance Workshop annual recital.

Attire: Girls black leotard with pink tights and tap shoes with a low heel. Boys: black stretch pants with white t-shirt and tap shoes with a low heel.

Production Program – Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr.

Thursday, 6:30 pm–8:00 pm
Tuition: $360 (available Oct-January only)

Open by audition or invitation only to students in grades 6 through 12. Space is limited. This class will culminate in two fully produced performances in a professional theatre. Students will strengthen foundational techniques while working with coaches on their singing, dancing, and acting skills. Under the direction of Krista Carreiro students will be encouraged to express themselves creatively by giving input on all aspects of the production from scene direction to costume design and choreography. Students will be expected to attend as many rehearsals as possible and complete homework assignments in a timely fashion. The intensity of the rehearsal schedule will foster a strong work ethic and a sense of personal responsibility and accomplishment.
Attire: Girls & Boys: black stretch pants, black t-shirt, jazz or black ballet shoes.

Musical Revue – Songs and Dances from Wicked

Friday, 3:15 pm-4:00 pm
Tuition: $200 (available Feb-May only)

Open to students in grades 6 through 8. In this combination class, students who love to sing, dance and perform will hone their vocal skills, refine their dance technique and learn to perform with confidence. We will work collaboratively to stage pieces from the hit musical, “Wicked”. The class will culminate in a performance as part of the Children’s Dance Workshop annual recital.
